Biography
Barb graduated from Cornell University with a major in Nutrition and Food Science. Hans was a Registered Architect.
They were attracted to Shaklee initially because of the company’s long-standing belief that we should live In Harmony with Nature® and walk gently on the Earth.
They were impressed that the company walked their talk. “Shaklee had biodegradable cleaning products long before “green” was a trend,” Barbara says. “They also recycled in their offices and chose sustainably procured ingredients.”
But it was the caliber of Shaklee science and the substantial health improvements they experienced in their family that led them to a 40-year career of teaching others the importance of wellness and prevention.
“We are grateful to have found a business that brings us so much joy and sense of purpose,” says Barbara.
As Master Coordinators, they train and mentor people eager to be a part of a community dedicated doing greater good even as they earn a living. And as they have helped others Barb and Hans have enjoyed greater freedom and vitality.
“When our Shaklee income matched my six-figure income as a Principle in a large Chicago architectural firm, I was able to leave that 60-hour a week position and step into a career with freedom, flexibility, and purpose,” says Hans. “And not to mention fun and world-wide travel… and great health. I’m still biking and hiking in my 70’s and that’s largely thanks to Shaklee.”
