The most powerful way to grow your Shaklee business is by sharing, not selling. When you talk about the products you genuinely love, others naturally become curious. You’re not trying to convince anyone. You’re simply offering something that has helped you and could help them too.

In this section, you’ll learn how to confidently start conversations, post on social media, and invite others to learn more, all in a way that feels natural and true to you. Whether it’s through a simple message, a launch event, or a social post, you’re building connections and opening the door for others to discover a healthier lifestyle.

This is about real conversations, real relationships, and real impact. Let’s get started.

Building a list is one of the most important first steps in launching a successful business. It provides a clear direction on who to contact, which eliminates the uncertainty and hesitation that many people experience in the beginning.

Rather than feeling stuck or unsure about who to reach out to, a well-crafted list gives you a plan. It also helps you stay organized, be more intentional with your time, and remain consistent with your follow-ups.

Start with a blank sheet or download the Your Initial Contact List spreadsheet and think broadly. Write down everyone you know without prejudging who may or may not be interested. Use categories or prompts to jog your memory, such as family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, social groups, and service providers. The goal is quantity over quality at first. You’re not deciding who to contact yet, you’re just capturing possibilities.

Once you have a solid list, you can prioritize based on interest, openness, or relevance. Revisit and update your list regularly, and always treat it as a living document that grows with your network and experience.

When reaching out, in-person talks, calls, voice messages, or social media work best. Keep it simple and make it sound like you.

Here are some ideas to get started:

Hey! I just took this quick quiz that helped me figure out some of my nutritional needs. It was actually pretty eye-opening! If you want to check it out, here’s the link___. I thought you might find it helpful too.

or

I’m going to start a new [wellness program] and I’m hoping to find some people to do it with me. It’s a [personalized nutrition system that’s clinically proven] and I know a lot of people who’ve had amazing results with it. Can I send you some information on it so you can take a look and see if you are interested?

or

Did you know that your body can’t store protein (like it stores carbs and fats), so when you don’t eat enough protein, it starts breaking down your muscle. Can I send you a free protein tracker that I’ve been using?

What’s something you’ve always wanted to improve about your health but haven’t had the chance to focus on yet?

Remember: Your goal isn’t to sell them something. It’s to peak their curiosity and share some information that may be helpful.

Build Consistency with Daily Outreach.
Aim to connect with 3 to 5 people each day whether through social media, in person, or other channels. Keep track of your conversations, responses, and follow-ups to build meaningful relationships. Consistency is key!

If you reach out to 10 people, expect 1 to be interested 5 to say no, and 4 to consider it later.

The more conversations you start, the more success you’ll see.

When someone expresses interest in learning more about Shaklee products, take the opportunity to educate and add value by sharing helpful resources. This could be a video, PDF, blog post, or other informative content, whatever best fits their needs and learning style. Providing clear, engaging information helps them understand the benefits, make an informed decision, and feel confident about their purchase. The more value you offer, the stronger the trust and connection you build!

You can say something like:

I know you were curious about (product or wellness topic), so I wanted to share this quick (video/PDF/blog post) that explains it really well. It gives a great overview of how it works and the benefits you can expect. Let me know what you think—I’d love to hear your thoughts!

or

You mentioned [interest in protein/post/poll]—love that! Most people think they’re getting enough protein, but when they track it… they’re surprised. Want me to send you a simple tracker so you can see where you’re at?

or

I came across this (video/blog post) and immediately thought of you! It does a great job of breaking down (product or wellness topic) and how it can help with (specific benefit). I think you’ll find it really helpful! Take a look when you have a moment. I’d love to hear what stood out to you the most!

Remember, you don’t have to be an expert. We’ve made it easy by providing a variety of ready-to-use resources.

Where to Find Product Information:

  • Shaklee Tools – Access a library of digital assets, shareables, PDFs, and presentations.
  • Shaklee Share App – Share digital assets directly to your prospects and track engagement effortlessly.
  • Naturally Blog – Explore and share articles on health, wellness, and product benefits.
  • Shaklee TV – Watch and share expert-led videos and product education.
  • Product Page – You can also send a direct link to the product or bundle page so they can explore details and purchase directly from your store.

After you share information with someone, give them some time to look it over and then reach back out to them if they don’t reach out to you first. This step is important, it is where you ask them to take action. Don’t shy away from this step. Just keep it simple and confidently ask them to purchase!

Say something like:

Hey there! Did you have a chance to take a look at that information I sent over? Are you ready to get that product/bundle or do you need any more information?

or

I’m hosting a Sparkling Mocktail Hour on Friday. It’s just a fun way to try Sparkling Protein, learn some surprising health facts about protein, and make yummy mocktail-style drinks. Can I send you an invite?

Find and Share your Personal Link

If They Say Yes, They Have 2 Options

If they say yes, let them know that they can start as a 1) Member, where they get 15% discount on all products and free shipping on orders over $150, or as an 2) Ambassador where they can earn commissions and bonuses for sharing Shaklee products with others.

Depending on their answer, you can either send them the link to the product or bundle on your website, or guide them through purchasing product.

When sending a link, use the correct one so our system can track your commissions. Also, ensure the shopping cart link meets the requirements for the benefits your customer wants. For example:

  • Free Membership – Join for free with a minimum purchase of $50 or more.
  • Free Shipping – Enjoy free shipping with a minimum purchase of $150 or more.

Guide Customers Through the Purchasing Process

You can also take the extra step to walk your customers through the purchasing process. This not only ensures they select the right products, that their order meets the necessary requirements for perks like free membership or free shipping, but also gives you an opportunity to answer any questions and provide personalized recommendations. By guiding them through the checkout process, you create a seamless, stress-free experience, increasing the likelihood of a successful purchase while building trust and stronger relationships.

If They Say They Aren’t Interested

If they get back to you and say that they’re not interested or if it isn’t a good time for them, that’s ok! Don’t stress about it or take it personally. It’s just part of sharing with others. Thank them for taking the time to look and let them know you’re available if they change their mind. Ask if you can share future offers and, if appropriate, if they know anyone else who might be interested.

Say something like:

No worries at all—I really appreciate you getting back to me and taking the time to check out the info! If you ever change your mind, just let me know. Every now and then, the company rolls out some really great promotions. Do you mind if I shoot them your way when they happen in case it’s something you’d like to take advantage of?

Even if someone isn’t ready to purchase or join right away, invite them to be part of your Wellness Community! This keeps the relationship open and allows you to continue providing value over time.

If They Still Have Questions

After asking for the purchase, it’s normal for people to have questions. Don’t worry—this is an opportunity to build trust. Offer to find the answer, but more importantly, continue showing your confidence in Shaklee products and how they’ll help. If you don’t know the answer, be honest and assure them you’ll find it. Use available resources, reach out to your sponsor, or to Shaklee Customer Service for help.

Say something like:

That’s a really good question! I’m not sure of the answer right now, but I can find out for you.

After you get the answer to their question

Here is what I found out for you. [Answer to their question.] I hope that helps! I will send you a link for those products so you can look into it a bit more.

If They Don’t Respond

If they don’t respond or get back to you right away, it’s ok! Check back in with them in another few days.

Say something like:

Hey there! I know life is busy. Just touching base! Did you have a chance to look at the info I sent? LMK!

Follow up three times and if they still don’t respond, let them know you’re going to stop following up with them, but that you’re always happy to help, and then try to end the conversation by reaffirming the relationship.

Something like:

Hey again! I feel like I might have caught you at a busy time—life can be crazy, right? I definitely don’t want to bother you, so just know that if you ever have any questions about the info I sent, I’m here whenever you need me. No pressure at all! I appreciate you and hope you’re doing well!
